my parents are from taiwan. i was born in knoxville, tn. we moved around a lot, but eventually planted some roots in silicon valley.
ever since i was a kid, i had vivid dreams and a pretty wild imagination. i was constantly creating and channeling my ideas in different ways- through drawing, writing, making jewelry, designing princess dresses, recording radio talk shows with my stuffed animal friends, making up song lyrics, designing the most random websites, etc.
i studied film and digital media at uc santa cruz, but didn’t know what i wanted to do when i moved down to la, so i took on different types of internship and pa gigs until i got recruited to work at a startup ad agency editing tv commercials. while i was working full-time, i continued to explore my creativity through independent projects and yearned to be free from corporate america. eventually, a quarter-life crisis led me to revisit my childhood dream of acting.
since then, it’s been quite a journey. i’ve learned so much and i know i have so much more to learn. as an actor, a storyteller, and a human being, i hope to be a bold truthspeaker who will be able to affect others in a positive way. ultimately, i am always seeking deep connection in everything i do and in every relationship that i’m in.
a quote that i really love: “you have to be a human being before you are a human doing.” – kris vallotton
